Why go on-line.....I've tried going online since we opened Beau's Boutique back in 2012. Firstly I've never felt I could compete with the bigger online stores and it's always put me off. Secondly when I'm buying for Beau's Boutique I buy in small quantities so we are a little bit of a get it and regret boutique, this has always worked for us in Beau's because I never get bored of what we are selling, every week we get new deliveries so the shop is constantly renewing with the latest trends and my customers are always excited to see what we have new in, and it always, always feels exciting to see what has arrived this week!
I absolutely love everything I pick, my buying style is based on what I would either like to be bought or what I'd like to give as a gift. I've always felt this concept of buying has hindered my online progress because as soon as I would take pictures of said product ( and to be fair I feel exactly the same about photographing a product as I would about taking a selfie - scrutinising the smallest details and deleting and taking another pic!) written the description, uploaded the image I have normally sold out of the item.
So one day not so long ago a very handsome and charming young man (he'll like the use of the term young hehehe) came into Beau's Boutique to buy his wife a gift, after a while we got talking about whether I had a website he could buy from, and how he felt I was missing a trick by not going online! I explained my reasons why I wasn't already online and included the fact that I'm not that organised either, added that I'm useless on the computer and if he was so sure I needed to get online then why didn't he help me. Over time we became friends and talked about it more and now he's part of the team making 3 of us... and i'll introduce you to my right hand girl Zoe on my next blog!
And so thats's why and how we're now online...
